Application:

Prepare all surfaces before you start the application, and remove any loose debris and contaminants present that can hinder the adhesion, including grease, oil and dust. If the surface for application is porous, you'll need to put a primer onto the surface first.

  1. Apply using a standard sealant gun.
  2. Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle, with the opening slightly larger than the intended joint to seal.
  3. Wait 1-2 minutes after application, then tool down using an applicator tool.

Use Polyethylene foam backing rods for significant gaps and then seal it, this provides a stronger bond and prevents so much waste of silicone sealant.
